A Hidden Gem in Tiong Bahru
Inspired by the traditional yakitori-ya (small grilling stalls) of Osaka, Bincho is an all-in-one unique dining concept now managed by the team at Yujin Izakaya, showcasing a harmonious blend of Singapore's past, present, and future.
Transformed from a 70-year-old traditional kopitiam (coffee shop) called Hua Bee, Bincho seamlessly weaves together three distinct experiences: the nostalgic charm of an old-school mee pok stall with classic coffee and toast, a modern open-concept yakitori bar adorned with copper hues, and a progressive cocktail bar featuring Japanese-inspired libations.
Named after the famed Japanese white charcoal Bincho-tan, our restaurant honors the traditional grilling methods that have perfected yakitori for centuries. Each skewer is meticulously prepared over an open fire, achieving the ideal balance of char and tenderness.
The Bincho Experience: By day, Hua Bee operates as a beloved traditional mee pok stall. At night, the front doors close, and you enter through the back entrance into a world of contemporary Japanese dining, where vintage marble tables and wooden chairs meet modern culinary artistry.
